Saree & Lehenga Draping · Kolkata

Six yards, placed deliberately.

Draping is included with every makeup booking, finished after the makeup and hair rather than before, so the final pleating and pallu placement is adjusted around the completed look — traditional bridal draping, reception draping, or a simpler casual style for a party.

Included with any makeup booking ₹500 standalone
Quick answer

Draping is included at no extra charge with any makeup booking — bridal, occasion or party. It's only priced separately, at ₹500, when draping is needed on its own without a makeup booking. It's done after makeup and hair are finished, so the final look is complete before pleating is set.

A traditional ceremonial saree drape and a stage-ready reception drape are genuinely different — pallu placement, pleat depth and how much of the blouse shows are all adjusted for the setting and the photographs being taken.

Lehenga dupatta draping follows the same principle: the style is chosen for the specific occasion, not applied identically regardless of what the function actually is.

Reception draping

Styled more for photographs and stage visibility, often with a different pallu style or pleating than the ceremonial drape.

Draping questions

Frequently asked

Is draping included when I book a makeup service?

Yes — draping is included at no extra charge with any bridal, occasion or party makeup booking. It's only priced separately, at ₹500, when draping is needed on its own without a makeup booking.

What's the difference between traditional saree draping and reception draping?

Traditional bridal saree draping is planned around the wedding ceremony's specific rituals and pallu placement conventions. Reception draping is styled more for photographs and stage visibility, often with a different pallu style or pleating that photographs better under banquet lighting than the ceremonial style.

Do you drape lehengas as well as sarees?

Yes — lehenga draping, including dupatta styling and pleating, is offered alongside saree draping, for brides whose outfit is a lehenga rather than a traditional saree.

Can draping be booked for family members or guests, not just the bride?

Yes — casual and party draping for family members or guests can be booked alongside the main bridal appointment, quoted together as a group booking.

How long does draping take, and when should it happen relative to makeup?

Draping typically takes 15 to 25 minutes and is done after the makeup and hair are finished, so the final pleating and pallu placement can be adjusted around the completed look rather than the other way round.
